Chelsea L Zwart

Ms. Zwart grew up in Sonoma County, California. She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2010 and earned a Certificate in Construction Management from UCLA Extension in 2011. In 2015, she earned a Juris Doctor with a Concentration in Civil Litigation from Loyola Law School. While at Loyola Law School, Ms. Zwart served as a Production Editor on the Loyola of Los Angeles International Law Review and authored works published in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights Project Journal. She also served as Lead Coordinator for the Young Lawyers Program, providing after-school mentoring and trial advocacy education to high school students from low-income communities. Ms. Zwart has experience as a mediator for both the Loyola Law School Center for Conflict Resolution and the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Center for Civic Mediation.

Ms. Zwart was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2015. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California. Her practice varies widely and she has experience with jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and appellate matters. Ms. Zwart has also served as a mediator for the Loyola Law School Center for Conflict Resolution and the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Center for Civic Mediation. She regularly provides pro bono services through the Alliance for Children’s Rights, assisting families with adoptions.

Ms. Zwart began with Chapman Glucksman as a Law Clerk while in law school and is now a Co-Chair of the Chapman Glucksman Law Clerk Program. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and ABOTA SideBar. She regularly authors articles on treading topics for inclusion in Chapman Glucksman’s publications and is heavily involved in the annual production of Chapman Glucksman’s National Construction Risk Management Handbook. She regularly speaks at events, including the annual ASCDC and West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminars. She has been published in AmWINS, the Los Angeles Daily Journal, and the Construction Defect Journal.
