Ms. Freeman was admitted to Illinois State Bar in 1991, and the California State Bar in 1998. She is also admitted admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (Trial Bar).
Ms. Freeman has tried to verdict numerous matters in both Illinois and California on behalf of trucking companies, developers, real estate brokers/agents, non-profits, and others, in matters alleging wrongful death, and serious personal injuries such as toxic tort exposure, spinal trauma, traumatic brain injury, and amputations. Ms. Freeman has also tried matters alleging fraud, breach of contract and related claims. Additionally, Ms. Freeman has acted as a mediator in the Los Angeles County Superior Court CRASH program.
Ms. Freeman’s publications include “Speech, Religious Discrimination, and Blasphemy”, 83 Am. Soc’y Int’l L. Proc. 427 (1989), “Mediation Privilege, a sword or a shield?” OC Lawyer, November, 2006; “Right of Publicity”, Defense Research Institute (DRI) and Intellectual Property Compendium, Fall 2006; “Applying Corporate Privilege to PMQs During Depositions”, Los Angeles Lawyer April 2010. She has spoken on a variety of legal issues, including social media, the impact of the Howell decision on damages, deposition and trial strategy, and has provided California mandated (AB 1825) sexual harassment training to employers. She is a ALI CLE speaker on social media and employment issues.
Ms. Freeman is fluent in Polish.
