Ms. Fornwalt was born in Contra Costa County and raised in Orange County, California. She attended University of California at Irvine, where she was on the University Dean’s Honor List and a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma honors society. She graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science. In 2003, Ms. Fornwalt earned her juris doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law. While at Santa Clara University, Ms. Fornwalt studied for a summer abroad at the Oxford University in Oxford, England and earned a certificate in International Law.
Ms. Fornwalt is admitted to practice law in the State of California and the United States District Court for both Central and Southern California. Ms. Fornwalt’s practice ranges from general civil litigation to employment and business law. Prior to joining CGDR, Ms. Fornwalt ran a successful firm specializing in litigation and transactional matters for small business owners in matters of compliance, asset protection, mitigation of risk, and corporate acquisitions. She has extensive experience in mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Ms. Fornwalt’s unique breadth and scope of experience allows her to seek creative solutions in procuring optimal results for her clients. Ms. Fornwalt’s priority is always to achieve positive outcomes, while optimizing risk transfer and minimizing cost.
